Advisory
One-on-one coaching and support from our Talent Partners to help you grow your network
We've been there before, not knowing exactly what it means to sign with a talent agency. In our case, we're really unique, so even if you have been here before, maybe you should look over these details to clear up a few things.
Talent Partners are like Agents for other talent agencies, but better. They help discover, develop, connect, and create opportunities for Phoenix Talent's roster. They are relationship builders who know talented people, know people who hire talented people, and have a natural ability to connect the two.
No. In fact, many of the people we're looking for have never formally worked as agents. We're interested in photographers, HMU artists, producers, directors, casting professionals, creatives, marketers, event professionals, and other well-connected people who already find themselves recommending talent for opportunities.
Industry knowledge, strong relationships, good judgment, professionalism, and the ability to recognize talent and opportunity. If people already ask you, "Do you know someone who could do this?" you're already doing the job, just not getting paid.
Talent Partners earn a share of the agency revenue generated from qualifying opportunities they help source, create, or manage. Specific commission structures and eligibility are clearly defined in the Talent Partner agreement before you join. See below for example of what a project may generate in pay for all parties involved:
Yes, and honestly, that's a major reason Phoenix Talent created the Talent Partner model. If you're regularly connecting talented people with legitimate paid opportunities without receiving anything for creating that value, Phoenix can provide the infrastructure to turn those connections into an actual revenue stream.
No. Talent Partners can continue working in their existing careers and businesses. For many Partners, Phoenix Talent is designed to complement the work and relationships they already have.
Not necessarily, and most likely not at first. The model is intentionally flexible. Some Talent Partners may become highly active, while others may participate when opportunities naturally arise within their network.
No. Talent Partners are independent professionals working with Phoenix Talent under a Talent Partner agreement, rather than traditional employees. The exact relationship, responsibilities, and compensation structure are defined before joining.
No. You'll have access to the broader Phoenix Talent roster. Although the more talent you originate, the more money you will make. Talent Partners are not required to bring in talent, but it will be greatly beneficial to you to recommend people you believe Phoenix should consider representing.
Talent Partners receive recognition for the talent and opportunities they bring to Phoenix, but our roster belongs to Phoenix Talent as a whole. That means every Talent Partner can help create opportunities for every person we represent.
Our compensation structure is designed to recognize the Partners who help bring talent, relationships, and opportunities into Phoenix, without creating territories or competition within our own team.
Talent you bring in may rely on your as a source for a lot, but our Talent Partners also aren't expected to become 24/7 account managers. Phoenix provides the systems, resources, administrative support, and career guidance our talent need, including ARIA, our AI Representation & Industry Advisor. This allows our human Talent Partners to focus where they're most valuable: finding great people, building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping talent get booked.
We offer 3 ways to originate talent applications for representation:
1) You provide us with the talent's information, and we will follow up with them directly requesting they consider applying for representation. You will be assigned as the Talent Originator if they apply within 30 days.
2) You provide the talent with your unique Talent Partner application link (provided after you are brought on). This will auto populate you as the talent originator.
3) talent visits apply.phoenixtalent.group and selects your name as the referring Talent Partner
Recommendations still go through Phoenix's application and approval process, so a referral does not automatically guarantee representation.
No. We don't expect a new Talent Partner to suddenly become an entertainment attorney. Phoenix provides systems, resources, agreements, billing infrastructure, and support. Talent Partners can learn the representation side of the business while Phoenix handles or assists with areas requiring greater expertise.
ARIA, our AI Representation & Industry Advisor, who's fully trained in all of these areas, is available to all Talent and Talent Partners - with the Phoenix Talent team behind as the final eyes to review all legal agreements and recommendations.
Phoenix provides the operational backbone, including talent records, contracts, invoicing, payment processing, communications, booking administration, training, resources, and support. A publicly available roster directory will show our entire list of talent for producers, casting directors, and brands to search for their projects.
We're building the infrastructure so Talent Partners can concentrate on people, relationships, and opportunities. Plus, with our industry partners and sister companies, we offer additional paid services such as:
• Personalized portfolios
• Headshots
• Sizzle reels
• Custom apparel stores
• Ecommerce systems
• Press kit design & printing
• Tradeshow booths
• Etc.
Something else we're doing (that no other agency has done before) - introducing ARIA, our AI Representation & Industry Advisor. A fully trained industry expert advisor that is client facing and 24/7 available interface. She learns about the talent, their goals, their look, their skills, and their personality, and becomes the go to resource for all the advise a talent could need on a daily basis.
Great. That's exactly how the system is supposed to work. Phoenix Talent is designed around collaboration. The goal is to put the right talent in front of the client, regardless of which Partner originally discovered them.
Our compensation structure is designed to recognize the Partners who help bring talent, relationships, and opportunities into Phoenix, without creating territories or competition within our own team.
Yes, but it wouldn't be wise. Your Talent Partner agreement will define which opportunities fall within the Phoenix relationship. We're not trying to take ownership of every professional relationship you have. However, we do need clear rules around Phoenix talent, Phoenix-generated opportunities, commissions, conflicts, and bookings.
Those that you do refer through Phoenix benefit from our expertise, negotiations, document handling, payment processing, and possibly making the talent more money in the process (and subsequently more $$$ for you).
Someone who's connected, trustworthy, proactive, collaborative, comfortable communicating with professionals, genuinely interested in helping talented people succeed, and already seems to know someone for everything.
Below is an example of how our Talent and our Talent Partners are compensated. This example assumes a $1000 session fee + 20% agency fee. All bookings sourced through Phoenix Talent will have 3 attributions: Talent Originator, Opportunity Originator, and Booking Manager. Each will receive a respective split of the Agency fee.
| Action/Attribution | Share of Agency Revenue | Earnings |
|---|---|---|
| Talent completes project | — | $1,000 |
| Client-pays agency fee | — | $200 |
| Talent Originator | 10% | $20 |
| Opportunity Originator | 15% | $30 |
| Booking Manager | 25% | $50 |
If you introduced the talent, brought in the opportunity, and managed the booking, you'd earn $100 of the $200 agency fee on this booking. Higher paid projects generate higher commissions, for the same work. Plus, the more talent you originate, the more you make as they do work - even if you have nothing to do with the bookings afterwards.
